Open mic event for self-starters and innovators in Dublin tonight

9 Oct 2012

The National Digital Research Centre (NDRC) is holding an open mic event in Dublin tonight. The aim is for start-ups and those with innovative ideas to pitch their plans and get feedback from the audience.

According to the NDRC, people will have a three-minute slot to pitch their ideas.

The initiative is part of its Inventorium programme that works with start-ups, businesses and social enterprises.

Fiona Hyland from the NDRC said anyone can pitch their idea tonight, be they a designer, developer, student or a member of the general public.

“We encourage anybody who has ever thought of any different or odd idea that they believe would be a great success to come along,” she said.

Tonight’s event will be held in Neary’s Pub on Chatham Street from 7-10pm, while there will also be another open mic session next Tuesday in The Stag’s Head in Dublin.
