Late '80s classic character Dizzy is to return in a new “eggventure” on Android and iOS devices this Christmas, with the release of a HD update to Dizzy – Prince of the Yolkfolk.
Speculation surrounding a new update to the Dizzy franchise began to grow last month, when it emerged that Codemasters Software Ltd had registered the domain name EggCitingNews.com. The site featured a still image of a pair of eyes peering from an egg carton with the phrase “Guess who’s back?”
Today, however, sparks the official announcement that the Android and iOS (for both iPhone and iPad) update will be available to download from 9 December, exactly 20 years to the day of the original release of Dizzy Prince of the Yolkfolk on Amstrad, Atari, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, DOS, NES and Amiga.
According to Codemasters, the update will feature “gorgeous HD graphics and glorious gameplay”.
