Nokia’s European divisions reveal pricing and availability for Lumia 920 and 820
Nokia Lumia 920
Nokia’s new Windows Phone 8 smartphones, the Lumia 920 and 820, were introduced earlier this month, but details on pricing and availability were kept under wraps. However, Nokia divisions in Russia, Germany and Italy have now revealed when the devices will be available in these countries, and how much they will cost.
Previously, Eastern European and Nordic telecom operators indicated that the high-spec Lumia 920 and its mid-range alternative, the Lumia 820, would roll-out across Europe in November. This has now been confirmed in three countries.
Spotted by The Verge, Nokia Russia launched pre-orders for the two new smartphones yesterday, with the price set at 24,990 roubles (€624) for the 920 and 19,990 roubles (€499) for the 820. Nokia Russia does not specify a release date, saying that the phones will be available in the fourth quarter of this year, but Nokia Germany is more specific.
It was also announced yesterday that the Lumia 820 and 920 will reach Germany in November, and suggested retail prices are €649 for the 920 and €499 for the 820.
The release date was further pinpointed by Nokia Italy, which announced the devices will be coming in mid-November, while Bloomberg reports that the operator TeliaSonera AB will stock the device from 12 November.
Italian customers are also seeing the lowest price for the 920 at €599, while the 820 remains at the standard €499.
Judging by this, we can guess that the Lumia 920 and 820 might see the light of day in Ireland before the year is out, and a €499 price tag for the 820 looks likely, while the 920 will likely be priced above the €600 mark.
