Resembling a prop in a science-fiction action film, the OBRUM PL-01 tank from Poland is designed specifically to be invisible to infrared with its unusual design.
Aside from all the latest weaponry, the tank’s outer layer is comprised of a ceramic-aramid shell, which will not only deflect the most common ordinance available in the world, but will make it almost invisible to any infrared cameras or radar.
While the technology has existed in planes and ships for a number of years now, there has yet to be any working prototype worthy of being mass produced.
The tank was first unveiled in September last year at the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, Poland. A series of videos going through this 21st-century tank have also been released.
The tank will also have speed on its side and is expected to reach speeds of up to 70 km/h on paved roads and 50 km/h on all other terrain.
