Microsoft bringing Surface Pro to seven new markets

1 Mar 2013

Microsoft’s Surface Pro tablet is about to spread its wings beyond the US and Canada in the coming months as the tech giant expands the reach of both the Pro and the Surface RT.

The Pro model, which features Windows 8 Pro, will be brought to Australia China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand and the UK starting in late March.

At the same time, Microsoft also plans to further the reach of the lower-priced Surface RT, carrying Windows RT, which arrived in Ireland earlier this month. This device will soon be available in Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan.

Further details on the new market releases will follow as the time for roll-out draws nearer.
