Ireland’s Railway Procurement Agency (RPA) has deployed the new Sage Line 500 ERP system to manage its financial and business information.

The RPA is the state agency responsible for the procurement of light rail and metro infrastructure.

The Sage system, with its integrated ledgers, provides a central repository for all of the financial information in the organisation, both project and departmental. This enables proactive management decision making based on real-time information.

“We needed to identify a comprehensive financial application that suited our business model and was adaptable to change,” explained Audrey Keogh, financial controller at the RPA.

“A key requirement for RPA was for a fully integrated project and financial application that reported accurately on both the current status and expected out-turn of projects throughout the project life cycle while, simultaneously, satisfying the statutory periodic and year-end reporting requirements of the organisation.”

RPA selected FDS Technology, a Sage Business Partner, to provide consultation, installation, implementation, training and on-going support services.
