Synopsis has been awarded a contract to install a sophisticated messaging infrastructure at St Luke’s Hospital in Dublin.
The contract involves the installation of email, internet security and core network infrastructure from Novell. This technology will provide improved access to patient information and data, and will connect 500 users including administration, medical staff and patients.
Access to all resources will be through a single point of authentication for the users and administration will be centrally managed via Novell’s e-directory. Novell’s GroupWise application will allow team-working and information flow between the hospital’s different departments and units.
The GroupWise functionality will also be available to all mobile users via laptops, personal digital assistants, webtops and wireless devices.
