Tesco and Candidate Manager – provider of e-recruitment software solutions and hiring process consulting, have signed a major €236k deal.

The deal will see Tesco update their online hiring practices and roll-out recruitment software to it over 2,500 stores and Tesco Customer Service call centres in the UK and Ireland.

Reduce recruitment costs

The goal is to further reduce recruitments costs, decrease time-to-hire and increase quality of applications – ultimately offering a better service for Tesco customers.

“It is also encouraging to see such an investment by Tesco into preparation for re-growth in the economy. Recent figures released by MyJobGroup Ltd, the fastest growing network of regional jobsites in the UK, show that there has been a 6pc increase in retail job postings in the UK from Q1 to Q2,” said Darach Deehan, CEO, Candidate Manager.

Geoff Byrne, Change Director, Tesco Ireland, said that Candidate Manager was the “perfect tool to enable us to recruit the best talent from the market place, with a reduced amount of time needed to process and shortlist applicants”.
