Energy conference to explore investment opportunities in Ireland’s green economy

5 Oct 2012

Law firm LK Shields is holding an energy conference in Dublin next Wednesday to explore investment opportunities in the clean-tech sector. Energy experts will be sharing their insights around areas such as growth trends and investing in Ireland’s energy infrastructure.

The Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Pat Rabbitte, TD, is set to open the event. Other speakers will include Marie Armstrong, tax partner in the sustainability and energy group at KPMG. She will be discussing what Irish investors are doing in the green economy and international trends.

Bord Gáis Energy’s managing director Dave Kirwan will look at investing in Ireland’s energy infrastructure, while Pat Gilroy, who heads up energy-management company Dalkia Ireland, will talk about taking a green approach in business.

According to LK Shields, the event should be of interest to energy companies, brokers, policy-makers, accountants and economists.

The conference will take place at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin from 4-6pm on 10 October.
