A new online directory that contains information on innovation supports and services for SMEs has been launched this morning by the Minister for Small Businesses, John Perry, TD.
Enterprise Europe Network’s online directory has been developed in alliance with Dublin Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise Ireland.
Info2Innovate contains information on 460 supports and services in financing innovation, training, innovation infrastructure, networks and advisory services for SMEs operating in Ireland.
Pointing to how there are around 200,000 companies in Ireland right now that employ less than 50 people, Perry said they contribute more than €10bn to the Exchequer annually and employ more than 650,000 people.
“Despite the challenges they face, SMEs are playing a vital role in the recovery and sustained growth of Ireland’s economy and we must ensure we continue to provide them with support,” he said.
The Enterprise Europe Network in Ireland operates as a consortium of business organisations that provide business support and advice on European funding opportunities and legislation to SMEs throughout Ireland.
The network includes Enterprise Ireland and the Dublin Galway, Cork, Sligo and Waterford chambers of commerce.
