Mozilla gives sneak peak at Firefox for Honeycomb tablets

31 Aug 2011

Mozilla has previewed its Firefox app for Honeycomb tablets, which will feature tabbed browsing and its Awesomebar.

The UI of the tablet version of Firefox will remain minimalist to fit in with the style of the Android 3.0 interface.

Thanks to the larger screen, Firefox for tablets will include tabs. In landscape mode, they will remain in the left bar and in portrait mode they will be placed at the top of the screen.

It will still contain elements similar to previous versions of Firefox, such as its tab shape and button style.

The Awesomebar, which gives quick access to recent bookmark or history activity, uses the same tabbed menu as before though it has been moved to the left to make it easier to reach.
