New 3D touch-like features for Instagram photos in Android have been spotted in the wild.

New 3D-touch-like features for Instagram photos in Android have been spotted in the wild, meaning the capability isn’t just reserved for iPhone 6s users.

The feature allows users to have extra options by simply holding their finger on the screen.

The new feature, which is enabled on version 7.13.0 of Instagram, can be downloaded from APK Mirror.

Instagram was first out of the traps with features that took advantage of 3D touch, which debuted with the latest iPhone devices.

Basically, Instagram twigged that while Android screens may not be quite as evolved as the latest-version Apple iPhone 6s displays, you don’t need a force-sensitive touchscreen to preview an image.

Users just long-press a thumbnail to zoom in on it and like or share their image without lifting their finger.
