Having teased us last month with a really short – but really effective – preview clip, a full gameplay trailer for the forthcoming Doom reboot has been released, and it’s even more violent and gory than we imagined.

The footage, unveiled by publisher Bethesda at E3 last night (14 June), carries on the tradition of the original series, following our nameless hero as he blasts away scores of Hell’s creatures, switching between various weapons, including the iconic double-barreled shotgun and chainsaw. The clip also includes a new version of the music featured in the original game. Click below to watch.

Doom is due for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Spring 2016.
