Galway company’s software favoured by Government

1 Dec 2010

A Galway-based software firm has delivered a software project for the Private Residential Tenancies Board (PRTB) that has received much interest and praise within various Government departments. The project involved the delivery of the Government’s Tenancies Management System (TMS).

Minister Michael Finneran TD said he was satisfied with the success of the implementation of the software, which he believes is being viewed as somewhat of a flagship project within Government circles.

“I understand that this project is being viewed by the CMOD Division of the Department of Finance as something of a flagship project where innovative technical solutions are allied to genuine public service inter-agency information-sharing and co-operation”.

Document management

The technology, developed by Vulcan Solutions, incorporates a CRM system, document management system, and on online registration system, providing the Government with a national registration system for all private residential tenancies.

Orla Coyne, chairperson of the PRTB, said: “Vulcan only started work last January of 2010, and less than 10 months later have delivered a major aspect of the project.

“So clearly, they were the right choice … we look forward to continuing our close working relationship with Vulcan to bring in the remaining aspects of the project”.

This system enables the PRTB to streamline its service delivery to the 100,000 landlords and 350,000 tenants registered across Ireland.

The technology, developed by Vulcan Solutions on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM™ platform, incorporates a CRM system, document management system, and on online registration system, providing the Government with a national registration system for all private residential tenancies.
