Call for entries for the 2012 Spark of Genius competition

28 Jun 2012

Now entering its third year, the Electric Ireland Spark of Genius competition will open for entries on 2 July. Last year’s Spark of Genius attracted 150 entries from early stage tech firms who vied for a prize fund worth more than €100,000.

Datahug emerged as the first winner of the competition in 2010 at the Dublin Web Summit and last year daily deals software provider Redeem & Get emerged as the winner.

Redeem & Get has just launched Daily Deal Pro, a service for marketers to leverage daily deals by managing deals for local merchants. It was launched in recent weeks on Times Square in New York during a F.ounders event.

“Electric Ireland is committed to embracing innovation and new technology to enhance our customer relationships and experiences,” said Liam Molloy, general manager of Electric Ireland.

Entries for the Spark of Genius competition will open on 2 July and winners will be announced at the end of the Dublin Web Summit on 18 October.
