Dublin software firm in €7.4m US deals

After successfully capturing some €7.4m worth of contracts with major US brands Dow Chemical and Reuters, the CEO of Dublin software firm Globoforce is to relocate to a new US HQ in Massachusetts.

In recent weeks Globoforce signed €7.4m worth of contracts with Avnet, Dow Chemical, Reuters and Safeway.

Globoforce specializes in worldwide on-demand incentive, reward and recognition programmes for Global 2000 companies. The company is funded by Atlas, Benchmark Venture Capital and a number of private investors.

The company has also announced a major investment in its US operations in Westborough, Massachusetts. Eric Mosley, the Irish CEO is to relocate to the US.

In addition, the company has strengthened its North American management team with the appointment of the former head of SAP’s ERP business, Deborah Schmidt as vice president and general manager, North America. Globoforce has also announced the appointment of former Allaire and Toyota senior executive, Steve Cromwell as chief financial officer.

“The calibre of these appointments reflects our confidence in the potential to grow our business further in North America,” commented Mosley.

“Our European headquarters continues to be in Ireland which is home to our software development.” The company employs 45 people, 30 of which are located in Dublin.
