Irish Broadband has unveiled two new 12Mbps broadband services aimed at both the residential and business markets.

The company this morning introduced its new Home Pro 12Mbps and Business Pro 12Mbps services, which it claims are the most cost-effective packages currently available in the market.

The service is being launched with a free connection and introductory flat monthly fee of €159 per month.

The service will be accessible for homes and businesses in around 40 ADSL+2 enabled exchanges in Dublin and Kildare.

The company says availability will be extended to other areas on a phased basis.

“With blisteringly fast upload and download speeds, DSL Pro 12Mbps is aimed at customers who wish to take advantage of improved connection speeds and faster response times, for example small to medium-sized businesses, companies working with large files or even people working from home,” Irish Broadband’s commercial director Ruairi Jennings commented.

“It would also be attractive to residential users who want a top-of-the range broadband experience for such activities as enhanced video streaming and movie downloads,” he said.
