Nokia’s X6 and X3 bring on the music

2 Sep 2009

Following a flurry of new products unveilings including the N97 Mini, N900 and Booklet 3G, Nokia showcased two new music oriented mobiles at Nokia World 2009.

The X6 and X3 may be mobile phones but this is an aside; they are all about the music.

The Nokia X6 is a 3.2-inch touch screen device with 32GB of storage and up to 35 hours of music playback.

It also has a 16:9 widescreen optimised for photos, video and web browsing as well as Ovi Store access and the direct-to-homescreen Facebook access that the N97 introduced.

The Nokia X3 is the first Series 40 Ovi Store-enabled device and trims away the fat with no touchscreen or widescreen but is a dedicated Comes With Music phone that has stereo speakers and built-in FM radio.

The X6 will have an ERP of €450 but definitely looks the business while the X3 is a more pocket-friendly €115.

Both will come to market later in 2009.
