The Apple Store is temporarily down, a sign that new products – including a possible new iPhone – will be added to its inventory once the consumer tech giant announces new releases today.

A message that rotates in several languages on the Apple Store website simply reads, “We’ll be back. We’re busy updating the Apple Store for you and will be back soon.”

In addition to a much-buzzed-about new iPhone, rumour has it a 4-inch iPod touch may also make its debut at today’s press event in London and San Francisco, as well as new versions of the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle.

Siliconrepublic.com will be reporting live from the London press event, which kicks off at 6pm Irish time, so keep your eyes on our site!
