Riita Mustonen, Chair, IRCSET Council
Riitta Mustonen is Doctor of Philosophy and Docent in Genetics. She first worked at the academy during 1995–97, as science adviser in the Research Council for the Environment and Natural Resources, and then from 2003 as director of the Health Research Unit. In the early 1990s, she spent a couple of years abroad, working as a post-doctoral researcher at MIT in the US and then as a visiting researcher at the German Cancer Research Centre in Heidelberg. Prof Mustonen is vice-president of the Academy of Finland, and a member of IRCSET Council.
