Astonishingly beautiful images depicting mini-lightning storms were captured by talented Swiss photographer Marc Simon Frei.

Equipped with a 1920s-era electrotherapy device purchased on eBay, photographer Marc Simon Frei has captured a series of mini-storms.

Frei generated electrical storms and captured them using a Nikon Df, a macro extension tube and a Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens.

He is a photographer living in Altdorf in Switzerland.
