What happens online every minute? (Infographic)

30 Nov 2015

We’re all online all the time now – tapping away, making sure we keep everyone updated on our lives through Twitter and Facebook and that we don’t miss the latest viral video on YouTube.

What does all this online activity mean? It means that lots of data is being produced. Lots and lots of data.

We understand the importance of data here at Siliconrepublic.com – the job of data scientist is an increasingly important one and we dedicated a whole week to looking at the area of data science.

But this infographic, created earlier this year by Domo, shows just how much data is created on the internet every minute – with people sending more than a quarter of a million Snapchats, liking more than 4m Facebook posts and swiping on Tinder more than half a million times.

Read on to see what the stats are for Netflix, Vine and Pinterest, and click on the infographic to see a larger version.
