Instagram filters
Popular photo sharing app Instagram has grabbed the attention of technology leaders, and not just Mark Zuckerberg, whose company Facebook acquired it for US$1bn last month.
Instagram now has more than 50m users and is adding new users at the rate of about 5m per week, Mashable.com reports Instagram’s API as showing.
Instagram reached 40m users around mid-April, after starting the month with 30m users. That 30m is double the number of users the app had at the beginning of this year.
Instagram is a social network in and of itself, allowing users to ‘follow’ other Instagram users and see the photos they have taken and stylised with different effects using the app.
Top technology leaders are among those users, and Siliconrepublic.com presents a list of top 10 tech leaders to follow on Instagram. We begin with the most obvious ones, Instagram’s founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. Viewing their Instagram photos is almost like having a peek through their private albums, and perhaps an inside look at what and where these leaders draw inspiration.
