The Wi-Fi version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 arrives in Ireland today, a tablet which runs on Android 3.1. The 3G and Wi-Fi version will reach Ireland in a few weeks.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 offers a 10.1-inch WXGA TFT LCD screen. It’s 8.6mm thick and weighs 565 grams.

It runs on a 1GHz dual core application processor with a NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip.

The Galaxy Tab includes 1080p HD video capabilities and will support Flash playback.

The 3G and Wi-Fi version of the tablet will arrive in mid-August, with Vodafone confirmed as one of its carriers. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 – a slightly smaller version of this tablet – will reach Ireland later this year.

The Wi-Fi version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, available now, costs €479-€499
