Mobile operator Vodafone has launched its first own-branded 4G pay-as-you-go smartphone, the Smart Turbo 4.

The device will retail at €99. Users can also purchase a €30 Red bundle for 30 days to avail of 4G network with free calls and texts and 1GB of data.

The HD voice-enabled handset runs the latest Android KitKat operating system.

Vodafone said its 4G network – which can transmit and receive at speeds 10 times faster than 3G – is now available in more than 220 towns and six cities.

The Smart 4 Turbo is available to Pay As You Go Customers with a prepaid RED Bundle.

“Now, thanks to the addition of the new affordable Smart 4 Turbo device, our superfast 4G network is now more accessible to all customers, enabling them to enjoy all the benefits of Vodafone 4G, including faster streaming and higher quality sound,” Vodafone said.
