New enterprise space opened at Digital Hub

8 May 2003

Some 20,000 sq ft of enterprise space, backed by an investment of €2.3m by Enterprise Ireland, has been opened at the Digital Hub for the first tranche of digital content and media companies seeking to locate there.

Known as the Digital Depot, the enterprise space is a joint initiative between the Digital Hub, Enterprise Ireland and Dublin City Council.

Dublin City Council is providing architectural, planning and professional services for the redevelopment of the facility and the first tenants are expected to locate there in September.

The Digital Hub’s CEO, Philip Flynn, said: “Digital Depot comprises enterprise space, a networking operations centre as well as meeting spaces and a café. The facility offers entrepreneurs excellent facilities and resources and provides a supportive environment for like-minded innovative companies to network, grow and develop.

“Companies locating in Digital Depot will have access to a high-capacity broadband metropolitan area network which will service the area. A network operations centre, which will operate a vendor neutral service providing 24/7 support for companies who require access to reliable network services, will be located in Digital Depot.”
