National Irish Bank creates iPhone and Android app

6 Sep 2011

National Irish Bank now has an Android and iPhone app, letting customers conduct their banking transactions from their smartphones.

Customers can log into the app in the same way as with eBanking, with their ID and PIN number.

The app allows users to check all of their NIB account balances and view transactions from the last 13 months.

They can pay bills from the app and make transfers to other bank accounts using a 6-digit code from their eBanking card.

They can also see the latest exchange rates and convert more than 25 currencies.

Users must register for Direct Banking in order to avail of many banking services, though those who aren’t customers can use it to find a National Irish Bank branch or ATM.

The NIB app is available from the iTunes App Store or the Android Market.
