WhatsApp is testing a new feature that lets you recall or edit sent messages.

The days of regrettable, drunken or angry texts may soon be a thing of the past, thanks to new features coming soon on WhatsApp.

Messages sent in haste can soon be recalled or edited if they haven’t been read.

This is just one of a slew of new features that are due to emerge from WhatsApp.

New moving location feature

As well as the message recall/edit function, WhatsApp is also testing a new feature that makes it easier to coordinate meetings with friends.

The Live Location Tracking feature allows users to show their moving location to friends within a group chat.

Users can opt to show their movements for limited times of one, two or five minutes.

Similar to the Find My Friends app on iOS, WhatsApp’s new feature will ask for permission before making your location data available to your contacts.

According to Cult of Mac, the new features have been baked into version 2.17.3.28 of the beta app on iOS and version 2.16.399 on Android. They can be found in the Settings menu and are disabled by default.
