4 Oct 2010

Calling all entrepreneurs! Join your colleagues, peers and expert speakers for National College of Ireland’s newest event series, Innovation Unplugged.

These interactive masterclasses are run in partnership with Bizstartup.ie and are completely free to attend, but you do need to book online to reserve your place.

The second event in the series is the Aristo Elevator Masterclass, which takes place on Wednesday, 13 October, from 2.30-4pm at the IFSC campus.

Masterclass for start-ups

The masterclass, called Pitch Masterclass for Start-ups!, will give participants the opportunity to create sales pitches that will be informative and memorable for their audiences, leading to more opportunities for them and their business ideas to prosper. It will include learning how to develop rapport with an audience; developing exciting openings and closings to talks that will engage listeners; creating presentations that stick in listeners’ minds; conducting effective questions-and-answers sessions; and reducing dependency on PowerPoint presentations.

Andrew Keogh who has been an entrepreneur and sales professional for the last 25 years, will deliver the masterclass. He founded Aristo five years ago to promote his unique style of coaching.

Keogh has coached numerous start-up companies to pitch to potential investors.  This year, he has coached one of the finalists in the ‘Your Country Your Call’ competition and all the finalists in the Dublin Web Summit ‘Spark of Genius Pitch Competition’ as well as researchers in several universities to pitch at the ‘EI Big Ideas Showcase’ and other pitching competitions.
