A new website that allows you to collectively bid for electronic products at cut-rate prices has been launched by internet entrepreneur Dylan Collins.

In an article published in The Irish Times, Gruupy.com creator Dylan Collins told the paper that the site was populated with lots of cool devices that you might not need.

“This is stuff you potentially don’t need … Gruupy is for people who buy a lot of devices and the core audience will be males aged 24 to 44,” he told the paper.

Lower than mainstream prices

Each day, the site features a product at a lower price at lower price than mainstream or online retailers on the condition that a minimum number of people agree to buy it at that price.

Today’s featured product is a Phillips Fidelio Docking Speaker for €69.99, for example.

Collins is no stranger to internet business, as he has previously had a hand in Jolt Online Gaming and Demonware, which were focused in the computer games industry.
