Damovo, a communications solutions and services provider, has established a new office in Belfast to address the Northern Ireland market.
Damovo already employs 68 people in the Republic of Ireland where it is based at Dublin’s Citylink Business Park.
Damovo Ireland’s managing director John McCabe called the decision to open a facility in Belfast the next step in the company’s expansion strategy. “We already have a number of important clients in Northern Ireland and the time is now right to establish a local platform to service that business and continue to grow our market share,” he said.
The new office will initially have a core team of five employees and there are plans to extend that to between 10 and 15 over the coming years. Damovo has appointed Richard Taylor as key account manager for Northern Ireland.
Damovo’s Irish customers include CIE, the ESB, AIB, Irish Life and Permanent, Hibernian Insurance, Dublin Institute of Technology, Trinity College Dublin, local authorities and health boards.
