MULTI-FUNCTION WINS AT HP CHANNEL EVENT

Dublin, Ireland, December 11th – How do you sell a product that can do everything? That was the question on reseller’s minds, this month, at a HP imaging and printing channel event, designed to educate resellers about the business benefits of HP’s latest range of multi-function products (mfps).

HP’s LaserJet mfp product family provides printing, faxing, copying and colour scanning in compact, easy to use devices that enable enterprises to take a collective view of the copier, printer and fax fleets. HP Laserjet mfps also enable users to send documents via e-mail to Internet addresses around the world and help customers optimise their IT environment without sacrificing quality and speed.

Stephen McDonald, HP Ireland’s IPG Commercial Manager, said: “Many companies are still spending thousands of Euros each year sending faxes. In today’s digital world this is ridiculous when there are huge cost savings to be made and numerous quality advantages associated with moving to ‘scan to email’ solutions'”

The two-day channel event, which was held at Stillorgan Park Hotel, showcased the HP multi-function products in action and included key sales training for mfp resellers and concluded with a competition in which teams of resellers were asked to compete against each other when making a ‘pitch’ for a mfp contract.

The eventual winners were Tom O’Brien of PFH Computers in Cork and Clodagh Carey of Datapac in Dublin who were presented with HP digital cameras.

Aideen Cardiff, HP Ireland’s IPG Country Manager, said: “Paper centric business processes such as delivery note handling, purchase order approval, application form processing or even physical mail distribution are slow, unreliable and costly. Customers can dramatically cut costs, improve customer satisfaction and speed up core business processes by introducing simple, easy to implement electronic document handling solutions”.

“This channel event was designed not only to educate our channel partners about HP products but also help them to understand the customer’s point of view and how HP’s mfp range of products can increase efficiency within their organisation.”
