Irish technology services firm Horizon Technology Group confirmed yesterday that it has entered into talks to acquire Irish e-learning software company WBT Systems.
In a statement yesterday the company said: “Horizon confirms that it has entered into preliminary discussions with WBT. Such discussions are at a preliminary stage and there is no certainty that any transaction will occur.
“A further announcement may be made as appropriate,” the company said.
The news comes just over a month after it emerged that Horizon revealed plans to acquire 100pc of the share capital of another Irish technology firm Enterprise Process Consulting Group for €3.5m.
Last month Horizon reported a 5pc increase in 2005 revenues from €281m to €294m as the company’s trading profit rose 7pc to €9.1m from €8.5m.
