Lots of things can go wrong at weddings and lots of things can go right. But for Chris and Leah O’Kane who got married in Oldcastle, Co Meath, the surprise parish priest Fr Ray Kelly had for the couple was pitch perfect.
Kelly surprised the congregation at the couple’s wedding last week by bursting into a customised rendition of Hallelujah.
His version included mention of the couple on their big day and their love for one another and in the video the surprise and delight among the congregation is palpable.
Kelly’s impromptu performance received a standing ovation from members of the congregation.
The video, which was uploaded on 5 April, has so far attracted close to 230,000 views on YouTube.
