Accenture to create 100 jobs in Dublin

3 May 2005

Consulting giant Accenture is planning to recruit 100 new employees for its Dublin operations, the company said today.

The new jobs will bring Accenture’s total number of employees in Ireland to more than 1,200, positioning it in the top 12pc of companies in Ireland.

In what is becoming a tighter market for skilled IT and management workers, the company revealed it is launching a Heads Up recruitment campaign that will mainly target experienced hires, with a view to filling the 100 positions between now and the end of August.

The new jobs will be concentrated in Accenture’s operations in Dublin, including the company’s consultancy practice in the Irish Financial Services Centre and its European Service Centre in Grand Canal Plaza.

Accenture said the new jobs have been created in response to increased demand for the company’s services and cover a broad range of areas, including financial services, communications, high tech and government.

Commenting on the expansion, Leo Blennerhassett, Accenture’s country managing director for Ireland, said: “Accenture continues to be a significant contributor to Ireland’s economic growth and future success.

“Our ongoing expansion further enhances our ability to deliver the highest quality of services and solutions to our clients, and to tailor our offerings to match their evolving business needs and requirements,” Blennerhassett said.
