CarTrawler leases extra space at Dundrum headquarters

Car leasing e-commerce player CarTrawler, which was bought last month by equity firms for €450m, is leasing an additional 6,500 sq ft of space at its Classon House headquarters in Dundrum.

CarTrawler was last month acquired by private equity firms BC Partners and Insight Ventures for €450m.

The company was established in 2004 by Niall and Greg Turley and employs 180 skilled graduates at its Dundrum base.

CarTrawler, which initially took occupation of approximately 20,380 sq ft in early 2012, is leasing a further 6,500 sq ft office space from joint agents HWBC and CBRE.

The overall take-up of office space in Classon House is now at almost 70pc. Classon House comprises a total 75,000 sq ft net Grade A office accommodation and was purchased by Green REIT as part of the Project Arc Portfolio in October 2013.

Based in Dublin, CarTrawler has over 1,000 partners, connecting end customers to more than 1,200 suppliers across 30,000 pickup locations.  It also operates online car rental sites under the Holiday Autos and Argus Car Hire brands.
