It’s reported that computer giant Dell, which has facilities in Cherrywood and Bray, is to shed between 20 and 30 jobs.
It’s understood these jobs will be lost in middle management.
Earlier this week it was announced that the company had decided against renewing the lease on it sales and services facility at the Cherrywood Science and Technology Park in County Dublin, which is due to expire in July.
The company denied that it is planning to close its sales and support operation in Bray, saying that the facility was pivotal to its European operation.
At the time a company spokesperson told siliconrepublic.com that the decision would have no net impact on jobs.
Dell plans to absorb 400 Cherrywood staff into the Bray operation over the next few months.
In total Dell, employs 3,000 in Limerick and 1,300 between Bray and Cherrywood.
