Digiweb in €300k hotel deal

2 Oct 2007

Digiweb has signed a deal worth over €300,000 over three years to provide Tower Hotel Group with broadband connectivity and managed hosting.

The deal will see the broadband company provide the hotel group with a private MPLS (multi-protocol layer switching) network linking the group’s hotels around the country.

The Tower Hotel Group will have secure access over the network on a hotel-to-hotel basis, as well as to the group’s central office. This will also provide a secure route for all third-party support to the group’s key business systems to facilitate remote diagnostics and support.

“Digiweb has provided us with an MPLS network as well as separate secure guest and administration internet access and VOIP services. We choose Digiweb because they had the ability to offer us valuable project management input, a range of secure network communications options, ability to work within the timeframe and budget parameters and provide reliable customer service and SLA response,” said Deirdre Power, Tower Hotel Group.

Tower Hotel Group also selected Digiweb’s purpose-built data centre to accommodate the groups managed web services. Digiweb manages and monitors the group’s hosting servers and support their main website, www.towerhotelgroup.com, and a number of their other sites.
