The Daily, the digital newspaper being developed by Apple and Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp that will be available only on the iPad, is to officially launch on 2 February.
Originally, Murdoch and Apple CEO Steve Jobs were supposed to launch The Daily on 27 January in San Francisco.
Now, with Jobs haven taken a medical leave of absence, the launch has been scheduled for 2 February at New York’s Guggenheim Museum, with Apple’s vice-president of internet services, Eddy Cue, taking Jobs’ place.
The delay in The Daily‘s launch is said to be due to a glitch in a new iTunes store feature that will allow new editions of the app to upload automatically to iPads.
