Media Cube start-up Furious Tribe now employs 15

8 Mar 2011

App design consultancy Furious Tribe now employs 15 people in various roles and, apart from support from Enterprise Ireland via the Innovation Voucher scheme, has funded its own growth.

The company was originally a web design company set up by a group of IADT graduates. The launch of the Apple iPhone was the catalyst towards the shift in the company’s direction.

The launch of Apptivate, Furious Tribe’s apps building platform, has played a huge part in the company transformation from service provider to software provider.

Furious Tribe has developed mobile apps for Citibank, O2, TV3, RTÉ Sport, Royal Sun Alliance and Davy Stockbrokers and has expanded its client base in Asia and South America.

Media Cube manager Martin Hogan commented: “The ability to adapt to changing markets and accessing creativity and technology with business innovation is what has made Furious Tribe a success. I have personally witnessed the growth of Furious Tribe from a small web design company, to a fast-growing competitor in the international arena. Patrick Leddy and his team are an inspiration to anyone who is contemplating the move to start up their own digital business.”
